Alteau Mobile Flood Barrier

The ability of this reusable product to be quickly rolled out over uneven terrain and then folded up for storage and transport without the requirement of fill material is fantastic! It provides the capability to quickly protect your home where two people can deploy significant amounts of barrier out of the back of a pick-up as required. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s reusable!

By using the force of the water to hold it in place, the Alteau Barrier rises automatically up to a maximum height of 3’ and can be extended by joining individual units to quickly divert water or protect your home from incoming floodwaters.

DESIGN

This product is manufactured from 610g and 450g polyethylene fabric allowing it to seal to uneven ground surfaces while allowing multiple sections to be quickly joined using the Velcro fastening system. The barrier can be joined to a corner element to provide a 90 degree turn, thus providing greater flexibility to surround buildings.

At the ‘leading edge’, where water first comes in contact with the product, there is a weighted strip helping it stay in place and forces the water to rise on top of the unit which then anchors the system to the ground.

NOTE: Within these videos, you can observe the weighted strip at the leading edge of the product holding it down as well as the way this product conforms up and over the curb on either side.
